Angelo Antonio
Brooks
Jun 22, 1958 — Dec 6, 2024
Altamonte Springs
Angelo Antonio Brooks graced the world as the eldest child of James and Mildred Brooks on
June 22, 1958, in Daytona Beach, FL.
During his early years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father and grandfather. He was
an avid Boy Scout, attended Mainland High School, and found his calling in the Police
Explorers. Angelo furthered his education at Daytona State College and later earned a degree
from the University of Florida, where he realized his fondness and savvy for entrepreneurship.
Angelo's professional path began when he served as a police officer with the Daytona Beach
Police Department . After retiring from the force, he relocated to Altamonte Springs, where he
became a well-respected community servant working in real estate, tax services, and financial
planning. During that time, he founded his own successful business, Tax & Retirement Doctors,
Inc. He was also a sought-after firearms instructor and began his concealed carry training
business, Diverse Firearms Training.
Angelo loved fishing, cooking—especially on his grill—flirting, and traveling. He enjoyed action
movies, long drives, and jazz music. With an amazing sense of humor, he was quite the
character, bringing joy, laughter, and love to everyone he met. He was a member of Journey
Christian Church of Apopka.
On December 6, 2024, Angelo peacefully transitioned to his eternal home. His life and legacy
will serve as a beacon of resource and guidance for those he loved and left behind.
He is survived by his fiancée: Roben Dunnings, children: Angela R. Brooks, Clarence Brooks
(Katie), and Angelique Jones (David), siblings: James Brooks (Carla), Candis Nedd (Isaac),

Clarissa.
The love and legacy he left will transcend time, and he will be forever be our Superman.
