Mr. Avery Alton Smith, Jr. was born on March 13, 1951 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Avery and Ida Meryl Smith, Sr. in Dawson, Georgia.  He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Florida Technological University in 1986; a Master of Science in Health Services in 1993; and an MBA from University of Central Florida in 2000.  He retired from Walt Disney World on March 14, 2016 as Health Services Administrator and Manager of Health Services Operations.  Avery was an avid fisherman, a baseball fan, and loved being outside and working in the yard, especially earning "Best Yard" in the neighborhood.

Mr. Smith made his earthly departure on Friday, March 20, 2026 leaving his devoted family and friends who miss him very much.

A  Farewell Celebration will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, 1pm, at Majestic Life Church, 821 South Kirkman Road, Orlando, FL  32811.
