Charlie Morgan,
Jr.
Oct 27, 1940 — Jun 19, 2022
Lake Monroe
Mr. Charlie Morgan, Jr. was born in Albany, Georgia to the late Mr. Charlie Morgan, Sr. and the late Mrs. Everlina Starks. He accepted Christ at a young age and worshipped regularly at both Providence Missionary Baptist Church and Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church, both in Lake Monroe, Florida.
He graduated from Crooms High School and lived most of his life in the Bookertown area where he watched residents come and go. For a number of years he served as president of the Bookertown Community Association, always seeking ways to improve the community. While a member of the National Historical Society he wrote memoirs of his life's experiences and observations in the community in a book entitled, "Bookertown - - A Journey To The Past".
Mr. Morgan served two years in the US Army and was also employed in the construction industry. He was a dedicated family man who dearly loved his children and grandchildren.
Left to cherish memories of him are his three children, son, Alonzo (Veronica) Taylor and daughters, Pamela Brown and Belinder (Allen) Jackson; eight grandchildren, Kenya, Kenyon, Shana, Candice, Angel, Timothy, Ethan, and Elise; two sisters, Mary Harris and Mayetta Williams; one brother, Phillip Williams; one aunt, Louthenia Mitchell; a cousin 'just like a brother', Reginald Campbell; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
