Ms. Della Jeanette Dunn Smith, born May 7th, 1937, in Valdosta, Georgia, to the late Tobe Dunn Jr. and Blanche Brown Dunn. Before her passing, at the age of 87, on June 8, 2024, in Orlando, Della, a Language Arts teacher, retired from Orange County Public Schools, after her last position, of 22 years, at Winter Park High School. Della was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, a cherished member of Our Savior Lutheran Church of Orlando, and a caring friend and neighbor to many in her community.

Della is survived by her daughter, Edith Blount, her brother, Alfred Dunn I, her sister-in-law, Thi Dunn, grandchildren: Brandon Blount and Maya Blount Chuli; and great-grandchildren: Violet and Sylas; along with a host of other beloved family members and devoted friends. Della is also preceded in death by her brother, Richard Dunn.

A memorial gathering for Della is pending. Upon finalization of the particulars, family and friends will be notified accordingly. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations, in her name, to Cornerstone Hospice of Orlando, and/or Delta Sigma Theta Sorority scholarship fund.
