Mrs. Gloria Jean Huffman's Obituary
Deaconess Gloria Jean Ware Huffman
born in Tuskegee, Alabama on September 27, 1933 to the late Alex Ware and Pearl Wagner Ware. She was the last child of 14th children. 13 sibling preceded her in death.
She confessed Christ at an early age joining Rising Star Baptist Church. Singing in their choir and other events.
Educated in the Macon County school system.
She loved her family and friends unconditionally, touching the lives of many people, never meeting a stranger. She was also known for her comical wit,
smile, and laughter.
She moved to Apopka, Florida where she joined New Hope Baptist Church. Passionately and diligently working for the Lord.
Later moving to Okeechobee, Florida, she joined Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. United in Holy Matrimony with the love of her life Deacon Curtis Huffman. who preceded her in death.
Favorite Things
She enjoyed singing and listening to Gospel music "Packing Up" was one of her favorite songs. Reading the Bible like her older sister who preceded her in death at the golden age 96 Emma Ware Little. Cooking and baking. She is well known for her delicious cakes and pies.
Moving back to Tuskegee after retirement, Deacon and Deaconess Huffman join Springhill Baptist Church continuing diligently serving the Lord.
Moving back to Orlando, Florida to be with her only living sister. They enjoyed the time spent together reminiscing about life and the good old days. She was truly a woman of God. She would pray upon awakening every morning also at bedtime.
Well Emma Ware Little, we took care of "baby" as you requested. She is on her way to be with you now.
Deaconess Gloria Ware Huffman you have fought a good fight, finished the race and kept the faith. REST IN PEACE.
She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish precious memories three stepsons: Luddie Hall,Tuskegee Al, Curtis Huffman, Jr., Detroit, MI and Nathaniel, Huffman.
