Johnnie L. Elliott was born on November 7, 1949 to the late Reverend John H. Elliott and the late Missionary Daisy B. Elliott-Laws.
In addition to his late parents, Johnnie was preceded in death by his late wife, Ella Jean Rogers-Elliott (whom he met and married while living in Rochester, NY) , his oldest sister, Joyce Louise Sumpter-Balkum and his second oldest brother, Reverend Willie Lee Elliott. He was also preceded in death by his nephew, Terry Eugene Johnson and niece, Angela Yvette Johnson.
Johnnie was born at Orange Memorial Hospital in Orlando, FL. He was the 5 th of nine children and one f 6 boys.
His nick-name to family and friends was and always will be, "Johnny The Great". His favorite add on the that nick name was "Master of Some".
One of Johnnies main objectives was to encourage family to make peace and come together. Understanding that disagreements happen but ask that we don't let them rule our lives. Johnnie Loved his family and always spoke of the importance of letting love for family shine. He was one of the special lights given by God to shine among us.
Johnnie was also a great source of encouragement to us all. No matter how much pain he was experiencing, he never stopped moving, and was willing to do what he could for others.
Johnnie attended school in the Seminole County School System. He attended the Job Corp, where he received his GED and Technical Certificate in Drafting. Johnnie enjoyed drawing and painting. He also enjoyed visiting and checking on family members.
While living in Rochester, NY, Johnnie attended MT Nebo Church of God, under the leadership of The Late Mother Katie B. Cross,
Johnnie leaves to mourn his passing, one Daughter, whom he raised, Ella D, Swindell (Terrique), 2 grandchildren. (He also helped in raising his granddaughter Zoe Hicks, with whom he shared a special bond). Four brothers, Aaron (Felicia) of Pittsburg, VA, Vincent Elliott, Daytona, FL, Andrew Elliott, Altamonte Springs, FL and David Elliott (Amieliza), Summerville, SC. Two sisters, Sadie Shivers, Stafford, VA, Lewarner Williams, Deltona. One Aunt, Carrie Edwards, Orlando, FL. Special cousins Solomon Jerry and Tyrone Simpson and Teresa and Jodie Bay. Special Friend Nate. A host of nephews, nieces and friends.
