Kanisha Trenicia
Mcgintis
Aug 18, 1992 — Apr 6, 2023
Kanisha McGintis was born on August 18, 1992, to her parents Kevin McGintis Sr. and Tasha Wynn. She was raised in Miami, Florida, but relocated to Seminole County. She leaves behind her daughter, Kaliriee Mylove Small.
Kanisha was an entrepreneur of many things. She loved to dance, cook, and take care of her daughter who was the highlight of her life. She also leaves behind her siblings: Khalifa Sams, Kenekka McGintis-Blue , Kemeesha McGinitis, Mustafaa Sams, Khayriyyah Sams and Ser'Moniee Flager, three nieces, two nephews, her grandmother and a host of cousins, uncles, aunties and friends.
If you were to look up strength in the dictionary there would be a photo of my sister Kanisha, aka "Lil Bit." She was so strong, he never let the physical pain of her body stop her from living the life she wanted. She beat cancer in 2020, and from that point on she reclaimed her life and decided nothing would stop her from living. She was a loving mother, sister, daughter and aunt. She was so funny she would have you laughing at the craziest things. She will be truly missed, heaven was ready but we were not. I don't think we will ever be ready for the reality of her passing. Forever with us…my soldier sister! I love you so much.
Never be a prisoner of your past " & " To be still is to fall behind ". Are two quotes that my sister was walking proof of. Life's trials are not meant to make us fail but to see how far we can fly .. and Kanisha SOARED against all odds. One of many inspirational phrases I could use to define her would be a "Warrior of Survival."
