Latasha Denise Fortson begin her earthly journey on July 5, 1979 in Orlando, Florida at Orange Memorial Hospital, what a joyful day that was. She was added to the family of George and Alma Fortson, her parents and a brother, Darrin William Fortson.

Latasha graduated from Oak Ridge High School, Class of 1997. She attended Valencia Community College and Stryler University. She learned to play the piano at an early age and she continued playing throughout her high school years. Her smile was infectious, her charm was alluring. She would brighten up any room she entered. She loved interacting with people and most of her employment was in Customer Services. Latasha was baptized at the age of ten and she continued her walk with Christ and she was a faithful member of Midtown Church of Christ.

In her short life span she overcame many obstacles; She survived Leukemia and was Cancer free since 2017. Latasha then wanted to give back for so much she had received. She became a Foster Parent which led her to adopting Kymani and Shia Fortson. This union blossomed and she seemed to be the happiest person on the planet. Motherhood enriched her life but it was short lived for less than a year.
