Biographical Sketch for Lonnie McMillan
Born to the late Eddie and Francis McMillan on September 22, 1933, Lonnie McMillan was the fifth of five siblings; Eugene McMillan of Chattahoochee, Florida and Edward McMillan, Horace McMillan and Louise McMillan Thomas, who preceded him in death.
Lonnie worked in construction and for Appalachian Northern Railroad throughout his life. He attended New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as an Usher. He was married to Mae Pearl McMillan, who went home to the Lord in 2012.
He is survived by his children, Eddie Lee (Marie) McMillan of Sneads, Florida, Joanne (Ray) Wortherly of Jacksonville, Florida, Ronnie McMillan of Chattahoochee, Florida, Karen McMillan of Jacksonville, Florida, Lorenzo (Michelle) McMillan of Rochester, New York, Lonnie "Joe" (Tonya) McMillan of Sneads, Florida, along with his caregiver who is like a daughter, Jacqueline Brown. He was a loving brother, father, grandfather, to twenty-four grandchildren and a host of great and great-great grandchildren, and a uncle to a host of devoted nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed.
