Obituary

Mrs. Mamie Powell was born on February 9, 1943 in Ocala, FL to the late Joseph H. Croker, Sr. and Willie C. Harrison Croker.  At the age of 2, the family relocated to the Orlando, FL   Mamie graduated from Jones High School in 1961.  She married Mr. Wesley Powell and to this union 6 children were born.

While in high school Mamie began employment as a Nurses Aide at Orange Memorial Hospital, now known as ORMC.  She continued employment with Merita Bakery for 33 years and retired as a Machine Operator.  At a young age she accepted Christ and  served at the National Tabernacle Church. She served as Mother of the National Tabernacle Church under the leadership of Apostle Carlton Williams until God called her home on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

Left to cherish her memory: her devoted husband of 63 years, 6 children, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 4 siblings, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and many other loving family and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, 11am and visitation on Friday, December 26, 2025, 4-6pm, both at National Tabernacle Church of the Living God, 1100 Bethune Dr., Orlando, FL  32808.
