The Sun rose for Marie Longmire Woodbury Holloman on August 25, 1933 in Pensacola, Florida to the late Wade Longmire and Queen Esther Smith Longmire Gooden.
She attended the public schools of Escambia County (Pensacola). Marie was married to Roosevelt Woodbury, a Navy man and moved to Sanford, FL. when he stationed to the Sanford Naval Air Station. After moving to Sanford, she joined Allen Chapel AME Church where she remained a faithful member until her death. At Allen, she served as Sanctuary Custodian, President of the Usher Board and as a Trustee.
Marie worked 10 years at Siemens-Stromberg Carlson, 20 years at General Dynamics as an Electrical Government Inspection, 11 years at the Seminole County Public School System, as an OPS Employee. Following her retirement, she volunteered in the Foster Grandparent Program devoting her time and talents serving the youth of Seminole County as a foster grandparent.

Sisters: Lottie Bell Durricks of Philadelphia, PA, Beverly Holmes of Blountstown, FL, Majorie Moore (Arthur) of Gonzales, FL , Shirley Walker (Ernest), Carol Longmire Walker of Pensacola, FL and Maxie Taylor of Oklahoma City, OK, Special Friends, Mrs. Eldora Cain, Mrs. Mary Haws, Mrs. Katherine Alexander, Adopted Daughters, Stephanie Ravenel, Janice Cain, Diann Wynn, Cheryl Smith, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
