Obituary

The earthly beginning of Marlene Lillian Eubanks began on July 9, 1959 in Philadelphia, PA.  Marlene was the youngest of the late Richard K. Bailey, Sr. of Philadelphia, PA and Marjorie F. Bailey of Raleigh, NC.  She came to her earthly ending at the age of 61 on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at her home in Kissimmee, FL.

Marlene attended Philadelphia Public School and was an alumna of Germantown High School, Class of 1978, where she showed her school spirit by joining the Women's Basketball Team and a member of the Drill Team.  She later attended St. Augustine University, Raleigh, NC in 1980 Marlene joined the United States Army.

Marlene was united in holy matrimony to Roderick F. Eubanks, Sr. in 1986, to this union three beautiful children were born: Diamond, Roderick Jr. and Emerald.

Marlene and Roderick lived in Raleigh NC where she was employed with the State of NC.  She became a member of the Active National Guard Reserved and was deployed to the Gulf for two tours,  She retired from the Military with over 20 years of service and the family settled from the military in Jacksonville, FL then moving to Kissimmee, FL while she was employed with the Department of Defense as a Contract Specialist.

Marlene was preceded in death by her father: Richard K. Bailey, Sr. of Philadelphia, PA, her Mother, Marjorie F. Bailey of Raleigh, NC and her brother, Richard K. Bailey, Jr. of Benson, NC.  Fond memories of Marlene will be cherished by husband Roderick Sr., her daughters, Diamond and Emerald, all of Kissimmee, FL, her son Roderick Jr. of Jamestown, PA. Five Grandchildren: Jeremiah and Aiden Jones, Anthony Bishop, Jr. Madeline and Julian Eubanks.  Sister: Darlene D. Dillard (James) of Raleigh, NC.  She also leaves with memories, her uncle, Robert Freeman (Rosemary) of Memphis, TN, Clyde Smith (Vivian) of Norlina, NC and Wardell Massey of Philadelphia PA.
