Marie Blake Manley affectionately known as "The Queen" gained her crown on Monday, May 3, 2021. She was born on December 25, 1929 in Jefferson County and she was a 1949 graduate of Crooms Academy. Marie was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Reverend Clifford Manley, Sr. in 1953 and to this union six children were born. Mother Manley was a faithful member of Progress Missionary Baptist Church and being a great woman of faith, Mother Manley's testimony was "Father, I stretch my hands to Thee". Marie enjoyed traveling and cooking. She held various positions at several companies including the PJ Factory, Juvenile Detention Center, and Head Chef at Lake Monroe Inn.In remembrance of her love, she leaves behind her children: Chrystal Crowley, Clifford (Patricia) Manley, Jr., Marquetta Gathers, Ernest (Beatrice) Manley, Sr., Sonya (Larry) Cherry, Dwayne (Kenya) Manley, Sr.; 20 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; 3 aunts; sister-in-law: Gertrude Blake;
