Paulette Dabney Brown was born February 10, 1949 to Marion Benton and Clydie Lee Dabney Benton. Her formative years were spent in Leesburg, Florida, where she attended both elementary and high school. She continued her education at Miami-Dade Community College and Bethune Cookman College (now Bethune Cookman University). While attending BCC, she was initiated into the Gamma Tau Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority , Inc. Later, she enjoyed a fulfilling professional career with the Orange County Public Schools and the State of Florida. Paulette was always active in church ministries, beginning as a child who regularly attended Sunday School at St. Paul AME Church, Leesburg. As an adult she later joined St. Mark AME Church in Orlando and became an active member of the Women's Missionary Society of the AME Church. After a lengthy illness, Paulette transitioned to her Heavenly Home on November 30, 2022. She leaves to cherish her memories: daughters Lisa Davis Moseley and Deirdre J. Wynn; siblings John A. Dabney (Debra) and Janet Wright (Clyde); grandson Nathan D.M. Moseley; niece Tiffany V. Littles, nephew John Littles, and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends. Her Homegoing Services will be held 1:00 p.m. December 5, 2022 at St. Paul AME Church, Leesburg, FL, followed by interment at Shady Oak Cemetery also in Leesburg, FL.
