Mr. Robert George Washington, Jr., affectionately known as "Bobby", was born on September 14, 1974 in Winter Park, FL to Mr. Robert George Washington, Sr. and the late Mrs. Shirley Simpson Washington.

After graduating from Lyman High School Bobby obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Police Administration from Eastern Kentucky University where he ran track and played Division I football setting a 25-year record as the all-time leading receiver in EKU's football history..  He played professional football with the Arena Football League for the Tennessee Valley Vipers, Louisville Fire, and Wilkes-Barre Pioneers.  A significant part of his life was dedicated to coaching.  For years he mentored his sons and their friends, from coaching little league baseball, football, and basketball.  He left a lasting impact on countless young lives.

Bobby departed this life on December 17, 2025 and is greatly missed by his wife, Charity; children,  Robert, Brennan, Shalyn, and Brandon; siblings, Johnnie, Angela, Darrius, John, and Lashundra; and a host of other sorrowing family and friends.

A Farewell Service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Gail & Wynn's Chapel, 1300 Bruton Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32805 with visitation beginning at 12 noon.
