Robert "Bob" Neal Wesley, recently retired Orange - Osceola Public Defender and a fierce champion for rights of the less fortunate, died peacefully on March 27, 2025. He was surrounded by his family, loved ones and friends. He served as the Ninth Judicial Circuit's Public Defender for the past 24 years until he retired in January. He was dedicated to public service and instrumental in making changes to ensure fairness and defending the rights of all people. In his final goodbye and thank you to the team of people who worked for him, he said he was "proud of the work we have done- work that was built on a foundation of fairness, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to upholding the rights guaranteed to all." This work was important to him.
We invite you to join us in celebrating and remembering the life of Bob Wesley and his impact on our lives and community on April 18, 2025 (Good Friday). Please join us anytime between the hours of 2-6pm at Azalea Lodge, Mead Botanical Gardens, 1300 S. Denning Drive, Winter Park, FL 32789.
