Life and Legacy of Mother Rosa Bell Robinson-Favors

The earthly arrival for Rosa Belle Robinson was February 18, 1925 in Edison, Georgia. She was the last of 7 girls and 2 boys born to the Late Silas and Ellen Robinson. She said that she was the "Last of the Mohicans."

Affectionately known as "Meck", she was educated in the public school system of Edison, Georgia. She was a Domestic Engineer. She was married to the Late George Favors. They were the loving parents of 1 son, the Late Charles Favors, Sr. Upon the death of her sister, she and her husband took in and reared her 4 nephews, Johnny Clyde, Billy, James, and Donnell Billings. Rosa was a caring and loving caregiver who ruled with a "fist of iron".

Rosa was a faithful and dedicated member of the Open Door Missionary Baptist Church for over 60 years. As an avid Bible reader; she loved the Lord and His Word. The light of her wonderful life shined for 95 years and 12 days.

On Sunday morning. March 1, 2020 at 1:34 a.m., the Lord dispatched his angels and ushered Rosa's ascension to her heavenly home. She leaves to cherish her legacy of love devoted granddaughter, Angela (Welbridge) Allen; 3 grandsons: Charles Favors, Jr., Roderick Hales, and Philip (Elisha) Hales, Jr.; 5 great grandchildren, Dwania (Charles) Reubin, Gregory Slones, II, Charles Favors, III, Marashia Favors, and Phillip Hales, III; 4 great-great grandchildren, Dary Cook, Gregory Slones, III, Arianna Wright, and Shayleah Reubin; devoted nieces and nephews, Annie Johnson, Doris Wormack, Johnny Peterson, and Billy Billings; special cousin: Agnes Leonard; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
