Obituary

Rosie Mae Brown departed this life June 27, 2023, with her loved on e around her.  She was born May 13, 1944 in Belle Glades, FL to the late Retha Bradley and Colins Burroughs.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gwendolyn Brown.

She graduated from Crooms Academy in 1963.  After retiring from Florida Power Corp. (Duke Energy) she became a foster grandparent where she enjoyed mentoring kids within the Seminole County Public School System.  She was a faithful member of the MLK Celebration Choir in Sanford, FL. She was also an original member of the Clearwater prayer group, and she loved praying for not only her family but for everyone she encountered

She is survived by her loving husband, Freddie Brown Sr, Sons:  Freddie Brown, Jr. Johnny (Liz) Brown, Dexter (Monica) Brown, Sr. and adopted son: Dexter Brown, Jr. Stepson:  Steven Hersey, Sr. Sister:  Dorothy (Robert Lee Sr,)  Sister-in-laws:  Annie Sutton and Pauline Laster, Brother-in-law:  Howard Swint, Sr.  Grandchildren:  14, Great grandchildren, 10 and a host f nieces, nephews and other relatives.
