Ruby Lee
Pryor
Nov 28, 1942 — Jul 6, 2026
Orlando
Ruby Lee Pryor was born on November 28, 1942, in Madison, Florida, to the late Johnnie Pryor and Rubell Brooks. She peacefully departed this life on July 6, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Ruby was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was a loving and proud mother to five handsome sons and one beautiful daughter, always placing her family's needs above her own. Her home was filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.
Ruby was preceded in death by her beloved sons, Randy Pryor and Judge Grant, whose memories she carried close to her heart throughout her life.
Music was one of Ruby's greatest passions. She especially enjoyed gospel and blues, finding comfort and joy in the music of The Mighty Clouds of Joy, Lee Williams, Johnny Taylor, and many other talented artists. Her favorite songs often filled her home and brought smiles to those around her.
Ruby also had a true love for great food. She especially enjoyed seafood, potato salad, chitterlings, and hog maws. Her favorite dessert was Brenda's Red Velvet Cake, and no other could compare in her eyes.
Her favorite color was red, reflecting her vibrant personality and the warmth she shared with everyone she met.
Ruby will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering love for her family, her appreciation for good music and good food, and the many lives she touched through her gentle spirit. Although she is no longer with us, her love, wisdom, and treasured memories will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends.
"Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure."
