Reflections of Life for Mother Sadie C. Zeigler
Sadie Zeigler was born to Thomas and Virginia Collins in Madison, Florida, on May 2, 1914. She and her husband, the late John Zeigler, reared three beautiful children, Essie Rumph, Mamie Thompson, and John Willis Zeigler. They are preceded her in death. Sadie was a homemaker and a devout member of Williams Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend David Washington, for over 40 years. She was a pillar in the community, and everyone loved her and had a deep respect for her. She was a sweet and kind person and always had a smile on her face. Sadie loved the Lord and her Gospel music. She was part of the Meals on Wheels program for over 10 plus years and loved playing Bingo. She said that her love and faith in God had given her a blessed and fulfilled life.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her grandchildren, Larry Rumph, Kelvin (Sandra, who was the caregiver) Rumph, Jerome (Diane) Thompson, and Patrick Wilcox, all of Orlando, Shamira and Monica Zeigler of Detroit, Michigan, and Samantha Stevens of Canada; great-granddaughter: Ebony Rumph of Orlando, Florida; a loving niece, Beatrice Dixon of Altamonte Springs, Florida; a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends: Special Godchild: Doris Justice; friends: Ruby Gadson and Jean Justice; and special friend who always went to visit her at home, at the nursing home, and made sure she kept snacks an drinks, Lawanza "Tweet" Williams.
