Forbes
Sep 14, 1933 — Sep 28, 2021
Orlando
Sylene Forbes was born on January 27, 1933 in Trelawny, Jamaica to a beautiful and proud mother, Viola Clark. He lost his mother when he was only 3 months old due to arithmetic fever. So his aunt, Mazerine Clark, raised him as her own child. He graduated from Muschette High School.
At a young age Sylene attended Hasting Baptist Church where he gave his soul to God, started to preach and he faithfully continued to serve God. When he came to the USA at the age of 18 Sylene joined Shiloh Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Board under Pastor Rev. Toomer and First Lady Mrs. Toomer.
He was a chef and worked at the Contemporary Resort for 27 years until he retired. After retirement, he continued to work for 18 more years at Universal Studios at the La Bambo Resturant. His highest enjoyment was taking care of his family and cooking.
Sylene departed this life on August 27, 2021. He is preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Diallo, Mother Viola Clark and aunt Maxerine Clark.
Left to cherish his memory are sons: Johnny Houston, Sylene Forbes, Jr. Arthur Warren, and Eddie Warren. Daughters: Shawna Shealey, (Johnny), Dorothy Forbes, Cynthia Walker (Charles) Tasha Forbes, Darlene Donaldson, Piper Warren and Tonya Shaw, 30 grandchildren and 35 Great Grandchildren. Sylene leaves a host of nephews and Niece back home in Jamaica.
