Vickie Sanders was born on July 14, 1959 to the late Joseph Riley Sanders and Johnnie Mae Sanders in Oakland, Florida. She was one of seventeen siblings.

Vickie received her early education in the public schools of Orange County, Florida. In 1976, she received her high school diploma from Oak Ridge High School. She was of service to a lot of people and had a gift of being generous and welcoming. Upon graduation from high school, she was hired at the Hilton Hotel and remained in the hospitality industry for over twenty years. Vickie was passionate about caring for others and obtained a career at Orlando Regional Medical Center where she worked for over ten years.

In 1978 she became a mother and ensured her children were surrounded by love, compassion, discipline and always encouraged them to be confident. She remained their support system in their great times and their trials. Vickie enjoyed a life of being with her family and friends particularly during special occasions, events and holidays. She and her siblings shared an incredible bond. She looked forwarded to gathering with them from the Friday fish nights to the Sunday dinners around the table. Vickie loved to travel, word search puzzles, and listening to music.

She was preceded in death by her father Joseph Riley Sanders and her brothers Keith Kemp and Alvin L. Sanders.

She leaves to continue her legacy and wonderful memories to her mother, Johnnie Mae Sanders; 3 loving children: Shawana Sanders, Shant'e Sanders-Armstrong, and Tameka Brand; siblings: Jonah C. Sanders, Vivian R. Cueller (Al), Ernest B. Sanders, II (Brenda), Wendell Sanders, Issiac D. Sanders, Sr., Rickie Sanders, Vanessa Butlers (Raymond), Arleatha M. Bush (Larry), Sophro-nia Y. Lee (Carl), Suzette Sanders, Antoinette Best, Sylvia Best, Lisa Best, Kevin Kemp; grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
