Rev. Willie Long, Jr., was born in Greenwood, Florida on May 22, 1935.  His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Willie and Carrie Menton Long, Sr.  In addition to being a Baptist Minister who pastored for many years at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Chattahoochee, FL, he was also a Maintenance Supervisor for the Florida State Hospital, Chattahoochee, FL.  He departed this life on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.  He is survived and missed by his son, Melvin Long, and daughters, Johnnie Mae McWhite, Linda Jackson, and Diane White.

Services will be held at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 556 Lincoln Drive, Chattahoochee, FL 32324 at 11am on Saturday, September 13, 2025 AND Visitation on Friday, September 12, 2025, 4-6pm.  Interment to follow service at UBA Cemetery, Crawfish Road, Chattahoochee, FL  32324.
